Preparations for the Knowne World Courtesans Bacchannal have begun!

We call you to a celebration of all things Roman in the Knowne World!

When: Monday, August 5th at 9pm

Where: Courtesan Camp and Strawberry Fields (block B06 off eLeri Lane between Ankara and Visby Vale – across the battlefield and above handicapped parking)

To gain entry, dress in your finest 1st c. Roman garb. We will delight your senses with amphorae of wine, delicacies fit for the Emperor, contests of strength, beauties abundant, and bounteous sensory delights. All in celebration of Summer!

Requirements:

*21+ (no entry without ID!)

*Early Imperial Roman dress (no pants, no Celtic garb, no plaid, no intrusive modernity – thank you for helping us create a transportive atmosphere!)

*a coin (Free!) – there are only 400 available so get them while they last!

*no phone use inside the gates for any reason. If you receive an alert, you must exit the encampment to respond. We always have an area for picture taking right outside the gate.

*Don’t forget your mug!

To receive a coin:

Once again Medieval Medallions has crafted gorgeous reproduction brothel coins for our guests. Join us at 11 am on Sunday, August 4 at the gate to Courtesan Camp (B06) to claim yours. Look for the red and gold tent with the red and gold hart pennants flying above. We will hand out one coin per adult in the queue. Please plan accordingly and send a representative for yourself if necessary. Out of respect for your fellow Scadians, please do not “hold” spots in line for latecomers. *Coins are available on a first-come, first-served basis.*

This year coins will be collected at the gate and replaced with a marked wristband. The opportunity to purchase a coin to retain as a keepsake will be available starting Tuesday, August 8th at Courtesan Camp for $10 apiece. This is to help us recoup some of the costs of the party and ensure that we’re able to continue to host it each year!

POTENTIAL VOLUNTEERS- Want a guaranteed entrance into the Bacchanal for you and a friend? Help us make the magic! We need people for all kinds of jobs related to the Bacchanal, Courtesan College, and camp set up and tear down.  Please PM Ziek, (Christopher Erik Burgess on FB) our volunteer coordinator for more information.

Each volunteer will receive 2 tokens, 1 for you and one for a guest. Volunteers for the Bacchanal specifically MUST attend the meeting on Sunday 3 pm, to get your tokens.

We will be accepting donations to help offset the costs of the party both in advance and during the festivities. To donate, visit our PayPal here. If you would like to become a regular patron, please visit our Patreon here!
